MAST has a fully registered, licensed, dependable, and cost-effective range of security services for vessels on calling at Nigerian Ports, Oil & Gas Terminals, and Offshore Installations.

Our fleet is centred on our 4 x Damen 3307 Axebow security escort vessels (SEVs). These are fast and reliable with ballistic protection, modern communication systems, full radar and AIS capabilities. They are properly maintained with electronic fuel metering systems (EFMS) and kept within class (Bureau Veritas).

Security Escort Vessel

To meet the requirements of the Nigerian Navy all vessels are:

    • Nigerian-flagged
    • Correctly registered and licensed, audited and approved for Security Duties by the Nigerian Navy
    • Capable of comfortably maintaining 12 knots with a maximum of 25 knots available and a range of 5,000nm.
    • Have mechanical redundancy with 3 x Caterpillar engines with 3 x shafts and can spend up to 35 days at sea with the appropriate resupply.

 

Transiting to the limits of the Nigerian EEZ at 200nm offshore is well within their capability.

MAST has a vessel based in Lagos and is able to offer escorts to and from Lagos ports up to 200nm from the pilot station.

MAST has a vessel based in Port Harcourt and is able to provide escort services up to 200nm from the Bonny Fairway Buoy.

This can take the form of a simple escort in or out of a required port or it can remain present during the entire duration of the ship’s visit to Nigerian waters.
