Job Description

MAST is seeking a Business Development Manager with strong Sales experience and knowledge of Manned Security Services (Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives), CCTV/ Access Control/ Intruder Alarms (some knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems would be an advantage but is not essential).  Candidates for the role must be experienced in Sales, from initial lead finding through to tendering and closing the sale, have excellent client engagement, persuasion and communication skills.  The role will be based near Stansted but will include remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively identify potential customers, qualifying leads, sales opportunities, and develop relationships with existing customers
  • Work to develop a wider network of relationships in the security industry
  • Write, prepare and support written proposals, tender submissions, bids, PQQ’s and support site consultations as appropriate
  • Facilitate and deliver demonstrations to prospective clients and existing customers
  • Provide up to date and accurate sales report and pipeline forecasts

 

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in sales and business development in the security or related industries
  • A constant, confident and effective target achiever and closer of low and high-value new business contracts
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices
  • Commercial astuteness, marketing experience
  • Excellent excel / IT skills / CRM systems
  • Strong numerical and written abilities
  • Quality presenter (to support bids) and an ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally at all levels – being polite, helpful and diligent, with a ‘can do’ attitude and strong engagement skills
  • Operational, technical and innovative mind to provide real customer solutions
  • Team player / Adaptable
  • For this role, candidates must have central London and surrounding area experience and knowledge, be a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running, possess an ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and to be a team player as well as working independently with a focus on sharing good practice

Benefits:

  • Basic salary of £30k – 40k depending on experience
  • 25 days Holiday plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working arrangement
