MAST’s PA to the CEO, Sarah Bassett, left the office this week to take part in a Professional Development Course ‘The Maritime World Explained’ at the London School of Shipping, part of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is a professional body for all members of the commercial shipping industry worldwide. Founded in 1911, it was awarded a Royal Charter in 1920, and members are committed to maintaining the highest professional standards across the shipping industry.
The extensive one-day course provided a comprehensive introduction to the shipping industry including discussion sessions, workshops, group activities, games and multi-media presentations. The course was led by Nic Ingle (Executive Director, International Dry Bulk Terminals Group) who has 25 years’ experience in the maritime and aviation security industry and a wealth of knowledge in the sector which is second to none.
