At MAST we care about our colleagues and their career development and it is important to us that they are given the opportunity to expand their knowledge through online and class-based training courses.
Last week our Finance Director, Zoe Pyle, and Account Manager, Kate Granger, took part in the Professional Development Course ‘The Maritime World Explained’ at the London School of Shipping, part of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. A course which many colleagues have participated in over the last few years.
The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is a professional body for all members of the commercial shipping industry worldwide. Founded in 1911, it was awarded a Royal Charter in 1920, and members are committed to maintaining the highest professional standards across the shipping industry.
The extensive one-day course provided a comprehensive introduction to the shipping industry including discussion sessions, workshops, group activities, games and multi-media presentations. The course was led by Nic Ingle (Executive Director, International Dry Bulk Terminals Group) who has 25 years’ experience in the maritime and aviation security industry and a wealth of knowledge in the sector which is second to none.
