Crime: IMO intervenes in Nigeria, others

The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has opted to counter the growing armed robbery and other illicit activities at sea in Nigeria and other West African countries through training, BAYO AKOMOLAFE reports.

As part of efforts to curtail criminality, some countries affected by sea robbery and piracy Gulf, the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has decided to tackle the menance through training. This is coming as the countries have received a wide range financial, logistics and material support from United States, France, China and United Kingdom and some other countries to fight maritime insecurity in their domains.
